Contractor contacts and correct set-out
Who handles a missed collection?
Contact E360S at 250-868-3211 or info-bc@e360s.ca for missed garbage, yard waste or recycling. Give the service address, stream and collection date. RDCO manages garbage and yard waste, while Recycle BC manages recycling.

What time must containers be outside?
Set carts and boxes out by 7am on collection day. Avoid early placement to reduce wildlife conflicts. The address-based pickup schedule, rather than a neighbour's remembered weekday, determines the correct collection day and alternating stream.

How much clearance do containers need?
Leave one metre between carts, boxes and other obstacles. Place a cart with wheels against the curb, or on the shoulder or lawn when there is no curb. Do not block a sidewalk or bicycle lane or obstruct cyclists and pedestrians.

Extra garbage, cart changes and recycling boxes
What if my cart lid will not close?
All material must fit with the lid closed; loose extra material is not collected. The page allows up to two additional garbage bags with tag-a-bag stickers costing $2.50 each. This is not an allowance for untagged bags or extra recycling piled beside a cart.

How do I request larger garbage or yard-waste carts?
Use Kelowna's curbside cart change form or call the City Revenue Department at 250-469-8757. Other regional municipalities use different offices. A larger recycling container uses the recycling service route rather than the City garbage-cart process.

Who replaces recycling carts and boxes?
Call 250-412-5336 or email recyclebc@e360s.ca for recycling cart or box replacements. The page separately directs damaged or missing containers generally to E360S at 250-868-3211. Identify whether it is a garbage cart, yard-waste cart or recycling container.

Collection cycles, assistance and winter delays
Which boxes are used for glass and flexible plastics?
Pink boxes collect flexible plastics and grey boxes collect non-deposit glass bottles and jars, on the same day as blue-lidded paper and packaging carts. Consult the linked Recycle BC Central Okanagan instructions for the exact accepted items.

What is the collection cycle?
Garbage is weekly. Yard waste is every other week from March through December, alternating with recycling. Recycling continues every other week. Use the current schedule for holiday changes and the actual alternating week, not a fixed assumption about every second Tuesday.

Is help available when I cannot move containers?
People needing help because of a medical condition or disability can apply for assisted collection by completing the RDCO form and emailing it as instructed. This is an application-based service, not automatic eligibility based on age or household size.

What should I do during heavy snow?
RDCO says leave containers out until emptied when snow causes delays. Clear a set-out area, avoid snowbanks, keep carts off the travelled roadway so plows can pass, and remove snow or ice that prevents lids opening. Keep sidewalks and bike lanes unobstructed.
